Anyone have litter mates? I am looking for advice on getting the pups use to being apart. They are 10 weeks old now and sleep in separate kennels, though the kennels are in the same room. How much time do they need to spend a part and how other may have done so? I want to be sure they are use to being separated.

    Re: litter mates

    Hi Cheryl

I have two black lab brothers, Jack & Barney who are 14 weeks. We don't separate them to be honest, they share a crate and we walk them together but on separate leads. Once they are a bit older and more confident we will walk them separately for some of their walk and meet up for the rest of it. They play together most of the time, but one will quite happily play by himself if the other is asleep. They often lay together to sleep, but either of them will also will take themselves off somewhere quieter/cooler.

We had two labs before and this was how they were, and they weren't litter mates or the same age.

    What colour/sex are yours?
