Last night I was busy disassembling my tumble dryer in the garage to fit a new belt and Lola was busy having a good old sniff (she isn't normally allowed in the garage). Looked to my side and she wasn't there. Looked in the house. Not there. Looked in the garden and I just saw the glint of her eyes. Then I noticed she had her head through the netting of my sons goal thingy. I ran up and she was gasping so I tried to get it off but she had riggled and made it really tight, so I ran in the house to get something to cut her free and tripped on blummin hungry hippos! Twisting my ancle and my knee! Dragged myself up and grabbed a knife half running half hobbling out to Lola. She was still gurgling as I cut through the rope and as soon as I cut her free she was bouncing all over me. Not sure who was more shuck up. Me or my beautiful little baby :'(. Stupid goal post was swiftly shoved in the bin. Lola got a tin of sardines and I got a pack of frozen peas! Deep breath and a big BIG puppy hug. Still limping but thankfully Lola is fine

Oh my goodness!! Thank god everything turned out ok! Just goes to show how quickly they can get into trouble!

Bet you're glad of the twisted ankle though rather than the alternative!

Absolutely! My foot maybe a mix of green and blue but it makes me feel sick to think how badly it could have been!

    Oh Chell!
How awful. Bad enough reading it. You must have been in a blind panic!
So glad you are all ok (well....bit bruised only)
You poor thing. Bet you were in tears afterwards with relief.

That must have been so frightening, glad Lola is ok and sorry about your ankle, hope it's a bit better xx :(

We had a Hedgehog get itself tangled in my son's goal, I cut it out and got it to the vets quickly and the goal went in the bin. x

Still a bit panicked when I think about it :'( hoping my hip will loosen up a bit. I suffer from sciatica and have a duff knee so looks like I'm on naproxen and light duties for a few days! Other half can do the walking. Gonna re-lola proof my garden!

Blimey what a fright, frightening reading it never mind experiencing it. Thank goodness you went looking for her when you did. Glad things turned out ok apart from your poor bruises. Arnica oil is good for that.
