Hmm, OK "pole" might work. Are you going to use that for both directions though?

I was toying with "around" and "circle depending on direction.

I use “passa” for both directions (Spanish influence but also good because it’s so different from anything else). My physical cue is a step forwards with the left foot if they’re going to the left of the post and a push with that same hand. That’s because body language is a big part of agility. But, I will try to teach it with just the verbal and have the set-up dictating which way they go. So a start from my left side means a clockwise wrap and a start from my right side means an anti-clockwise wrap.

I have a separate cue for each direction, I don't have a hand signal, other than a general swish of the hand in the direction of the target with a hooked, twirly finger - I suppose that is my hand signal then .

So it's "around"/swish with the left hand for clockwise and "widdershins"/swish with the right hand for anti-clockwise (though the latter is what we're working on so no cue as yet).

Plus we start from the left for clockwise and start from the right for anti-clockwise. Umm it's sounding complicated now - it isn't really.

Well, Pongo is feeling smug because this is one that he's managed! His hooman partner over-does it a bit - my hand signal looks like I'm ten-pin bowling. And he didn't quite get the whole "figure of eight" concept first time round. But still....here is his offering (with OH behind the camera as Cecil B deMille).

Red can go round a cone clockwise from my left hand side. I say ‘go round’ and use a hand gesture. She goes round the cone, comes back and round the back of me me into a heel sit. I will try to video this week. I have yet to teach her to do it anti-clockwise.

Well done!! Loving the success everyone's having! I must get my camera out and do some video - I never seem to get round to that bit, but it's lovely to see everyone else's accomplishments. :)
