Does anyone have any experience with these three meds used to treat incontinence: Proin, Incurin, and DES? I have had my 2.5 year old lab on Proin for a few weeks and it is helping, but her initial reaction to the meds made me a bit nervous, especially after looking up all the side effects and negative reviews online. I gave her the first dose with her food and she was acting odd that evening (seemed restless, just not herself) and a few hours later threw up all of her food, and then threw up several more times that evening and the next morning. The vet suggested giving her the meds 30 minutes after meals and she has not had any more issues, but since she will need to stay on a medication I want to make sure I am choosing the one with the least amount of negative effects. It seems to be helping her incontinence, so I am trying to determine whether we should keep her on it or try one of the other meds. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
