When Millie had her cornea transplant , we were advised to stop the steroids because they can hamper the healing process and to give her Piriton as an alternative for her pollen allergy . Unfortunately , Piriton aren't helping at all , and now that the ferns are shedding spores , the poor little mite is scratching like crazy . Her eye is now as good as it will ever be so she is now back on steroids , thankfully she had no side effects before so fingers crossed she wont do now . Got to smile , this little rescue girl has cost us a small fortune but is worth every penny to us
Re: Millie back on steroids Spring here, pollen season, and itchy Obi needed a 'roid last night as a result. These poor itchy dogs!! Must say the steroids are marvellous at stopping the itch. Hope Millie is feeling more comfortable very soon
Re: Millie back on steroids Poor Millie, how frustrating! Hope the autumn season doesn't hang around too long..
