Hi everyone, I have an 81/2 month black pup. When he went to be neutered I was told that he is hermaphrodite. They scanned him and said there was an ovary. When they opened him, they could not find it. They carried on and castrated him but said he does have a vulva and they could not do anything about it as he would not be able to pee. We were told to keep an eye on him as he may go into season. He hasn't but has started chewing a lot, in particular soft covers. Could this have anything to do with him being hermaphrodite? He is a great pup other than this. p.S. He doesn't hump anything and we have another lab too. Help!!!!
I little girl 3 1/2 months old. We picked her up at 8 weeks and 2 days later she started with a UTI. Took her to the vets and he said she was a hermaphrodite. She has an enlarged vulva with a male pen.is inside of it. Nothing they can do about it and hoping she can and will outgrow the UTI...she has been on 2 rounds of antibiotics and we hope and pray this doesn't become chronic. Good luck with your pup
