Mollie, nine months old, is taller than the other two - four years old!

They are all so beautiful. Red is now as tall as Sky and has huge back legs - she will be way bigger than Sky.

Well... Molly has her front paw on Zaba's(?) foot, giving herself some elevation. Sneaky!

    Beautiful photo!

Mollie is due her season soon, her lady bits are beginning to look a lot more mature and Zaba (entire male) seems to have fallen in love with her. So I never leave them alone, just in case ...

Just now I saw frantic humping and rushed to intervene, scared my fears had been suddenly realised. Nope ...

It was Tatze humping Zaba :rolleyes:

Mollie has passed her eye test. She happily went off with the GD welfare officer in his car, she'd never met him before. Our dogs are trained to be adaptable! She was with him all day. He took her to the dog ophthalmologist in Mirfield then brought her back. He said her behaviour was perfect.

    *proud*

Next stop - X rays when she's 11 months old in August.

'They put dwops in my eyeses and looked in them with a thingie and lights, then asked me if I could read the bottom line of a chart' ;)

Zaba is still being a good boy. He gives Mollie a sniff and lick now and again but that's all. He doesn't seem worried or excited about her season at all. He'll be home before her fertile stage and I never leave them alone together, even for a moment.

My supervisor said being with an entire male probably brought her season forward.

Has she been with you longer than your previous pups? I don't remember Gypsy or Twiglet going through a season with you?

Snowie, who is intact, goes insane even when the entire bitch has been out of her season a few months. I wonder if it also depends on the male? Some more excitable than others? Or maybe Zaba is more used to entire bitches than Snowie - far and few between in my area.

Gypsy and Twiglet were both part of the research trial and spayed at six months old :)

We are going to have boys in the future, the timing was fine this time - but we are going to have Zaba more and more as my friend and her husband are now retired and love to travel, so I don't want to risk the timing being out in future! It's easy to get the pups looked after but not really fair to hive them away during their season, I think.

Mollie's season is over - hurrah!

She sailed through it and was very happy staying home and snoozing, no extra entertainment needed. This bodes well if she makes it and becomes a Guide Dog Mummy.

Today she had her first free run post-season and loved it.

Puppy class on Friday, lots of new 8 week olds to meet :)
