Gosh! Such high expectations for a baby..:) Although she is a guide dog mummy, does she go through the whole training programme then? (Sorry if this has been explained already...) :)

Well done little girl, what a :star: you are. How do you manage to train the pups to ignore food etc. on the ground and in shops? I have a little issue with Hattie when we go to the Hospice as there is often crumbs on the floor. I don't use treats to distract/train her in this environment as I really want her to work for free.

Love the blue bed, where did you buy it Mags please? :) x

I agree with @Joy, she is only 9 weeks old, it will sort itself out later I am sure. Lucky you having a pup that sleeps in the evening, she looks a dear little pup, can I have her please :)

We use voice, food a and toys as distractions from things on the ground. Of course it's much easier when moving along! When on trams, buses etc we just make sure they can't reach any floor food, then hopefully it becomes a habit because their owner won't see food on the ground.

The bed is from here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B015RGMIDI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

It is in one piece so I'm not sure how I'll wash it! It was inexpensive and I've just got a beige one for better photos lol!

Thanks Mags, a little difficult to train Hattie with food or toys in this environment as there's no time and our concentration is on the patients. It's not the end of the world and causes some amusement so I don't think I will worry too much :) Thanks for the bed link it's very reasonably priced! x :)

    Mollie is snoozing - again!

    She's such a sleepy pupster!

Mind you, she's had two 'work' sessions today - lots to see and take in :). I am really pleased with her lead walking - I do short bursts, two or three aisles of the shop, then a 'sit' followed by a carry round.

Good news - she's now dry overnight - hurrah!!

    :happyfeet:

So I have filled her puppy pen with bed, now it's just like a crate without a roof. She likes to stretch out in bed and now she has more space. For the first three weeks she had a plastic bed with a puppy pad next to it to wee on in the night - I don't believe in disturbed nights lol!

The big black and white puppy thing holds a heat pad which is brilliant - it stays warm for 12 hours.

What a cool toy! I don't think those existed the last time I had a puppy. I may have to hit up the pet store and add that to my growing "puppy prep box".

Also love the sleepy photos. Mollie is such an excellent sleeper. :)

Mollie's not keen on sleeping in her pen during the day. She's fine at night. So I'm getting her used to being on her own in the pen during the day by waiting till she's fed, watered and tired then going upstairs to do some (much needed) decluttering while Mr Boogs takes Tatze for her long morning walk. Mollie shouts a bit, but settles within five minutes so I think we'll be OK. I need to work up to her being left for an hour or so.

    :)
