Ok, this is a wierd one, Bouncer has managed to consume 2 whole monkey nuts, shell & all today. I know we can give our pups peanut butter so the nust should be ok, what about the shells?

    A bit of roughage ;)
Don't think a couple of them are of any concern - the shells are soft enough not to be a worry.

Molly picks up cob nuts, crunches them and downs the whole thing without breaking her stride.

So is a monkey nut a peanut with the shell still on?

I'm also not sure what that is but if it's a peanut or other nut with the shell I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I'm not sure if it is technically a nut, as the peanut grows underground.

Pretty sure the roasted, salted variety isn't natural ;)

Haha, exactly, they are more like a tuber.

You can grow them just by planting raw peanuts. Never tried it but seen it.

I'm sure he'll be fine. Like Jac says - good roughage :D
Peanuts are legumes - same family as lentils :)
