Hugo has been going so well during the nights now, he sleeps without crying even after we take him out to toilet and then put him back to sleep. We are really happy with this progress. We do however seem to be struggling in the mornings! He gets out and has breakfast at about 6am in a kong wobbler which he enjoys and it takes him a little longer than normal to eat. Then he goes to the door and cries and cries. In a break in his crying I go out and play and do a bit of training with him and running around. I then go inside and he is crying and howling again and jumping on the screen door. I am not sure of what to do here, I assume I should completely ignore him?

Hi there, not quite sure of the set up here....have you left your puppy alone in the garden? Is that what you mean when you say you go back inside?

Yes so he is outside in the patio and has access to the lawn as well. He can see me in the kitchen through the screen door.
