I really, really need to mow my grass but with a 9 week old puppy that’s not crate trained I’m not sure how to do it. She does have a tie-out outside that I was thinking I could put her on and just stay away from her area. I could do that area after my husband gets home one of these days. ( He’ll be home late tonight and tomorrow)

Anyone have any ideas? I really can’t wait much longer. I was going to do it last weekend when my husband was home but it kept raining on and off, now the grass is so long it can’t dry and I can’t see where she pooped!!

Can’t really give too much advice specific to your arrangement but I will say let your pup be present when you mow, within reason of course, so that they get used to loud sounds, household machines, etc. My 3 yo doesn’t batt an eye, he runs along with me while I’m on my zero turn and then when he’s no longer amused runs from a shade spot in the front to one in the back and watches me as I circle the house. He’s learned to stay clear however.

Sadie was born on a farm so I was hoping she still was used to a lot of different noises and equipment. I decided to put her on her tie-out and just cut what I could until my husband comes home and I can cut the rest. Sadie whined and cried and barked for a bit but she eventually settled down. Now she is out. Sound asleep so tired from all the activity today.
