I am at my witts end. About 2 months ago our 4 year old lab who gobbled food down like there is no tomorrow started not eating as much. She eventually turned her nose up. She was on Nutro with lamb. So I purchased Nutro with chicken, she has a sensative stomach, and tried mixing a little of this into the lamb, thinking she was bored. Added yogurt, pb, and she would eventually eat but took her all day. So I had another dog we raised on Pedigree, thought I'd try it and Penny gobbled that down for 2 weeks and now nothing, she pokes. We took her to vet and she received a physical clean bill of health and she told me about putting food down with a little shredded chicken, wait 10 minutes, and then pull up. She picks out the chicken. I give up! Any advice??

    Hi
Not sure as to what to eat but if it isn’t eating when you give it in the morning(after exercise) lift it and don’t offer any other food, including treats until late afternoon evening. She will soon realise these are the only eating opportunities and get back into a routine.

Sorry. That was meant to say “if it isn’t eaten”
Sounds like I was calling your dog it!

Is she actually losing weight? My Malamute was a free feeder, and would only eat what he wanted. We could leave dry kibble down all the time, and he would eat when ever he was hungry. That is not a typical behavior for a Lab, but if she not actually getting skinny perhaps it is her norm.
