Re: New article: are you and your labrador walking far enough Don't forget to take it out of your pocket before you wash your jeans
Re: New article: are you and your labrador walking far enough I am going to get one too, I walk a lot of miles in a week so it will be interesting to see if I do as many as I think. We can compare Jen Thanks Pippa xx
Re: New article: are you and your labrador walking far enough Hi, I do not use a pedometer but I do use an interactive map to determine how far I have walked with my dog. This is the site that I use: http://gb.mapometer.com/ With playing and sniffing etc it can take me 45 minutes to walk one mile!!! Not to mention the obligatory stop for a paddle.
Re: New article: are you and your labrador walking far enough This was a concern of ours, as we walked our first lab pup far too much when she was young, she was our first pup and we didn't know any better, it was 14 years ago so there was no readily available information like now. We have got an app called walk my dog which is great, it keeps a record of how far and how long you've been walking, senses when you are stood, and you can register more than one dog in 'my pack' and you can log walking them together or separately.
Re: New article: are you and your labrador walking far enough We tend to use MapMyWalk to record our journeys (if we remember to start it! )
Re: New article: are you and your labrador walking far enough I have a gps app on my phone that I could use...again, have to remember to start it! I would like to do that though, it would be interesting to see the miles add up....
Re: New article: are you and your labrador walking far enough OK, you have inspired me - I've got one! I will put it in the dog walking bum bag and see how far we go. ;D
Re: New article: are you and your labrador walking far enough I've got a fitbit which monitors how far I walk, how many steps, when I'm very active, my calorie intake and usage, sleep pattern and weight (got the scales too). You can wear it 24/7 as it's waterproof and looks like a band on your wrist It is brilliant but expensive if you only want to monitor how far you walk!
