I've heard squirrel is quite tasty. Not many around here, though Quite inspires me to try rabbit goujons, though!
We have red squirrels on our patch. But I think I'll leave them alone unless the world ends. There's little meat on them and despite being a little distructive, I feel blessed to see them bouncing up, down, and in between the spruce trees. Plenty of moose in the freezer anyway (organic, lead a natural life, hunted and killed quickly, treated with utmost respect etc.). I worked 15 years in the food industry, have seen the insides of it, and my conscience is cleaner eating moose/black grouse/willow grouse/duck/hare that I've hunted rather than factory-farmed pigs/chickens that haven't been so lucky. Sorry to go off track. Difficult to talk about eating animals without giving some background, especially having weighed up all angles that lead me on my current path
