I'm a bit worried about Harley ??? She is on day 13 of her season and is still bleeding (I know this isn't too unusual though) I know it has been very warm, but she has been very uninterested in everything in the last week. When I come home from work, she says hi then goes and lies down again, same with my hubby. She rarely wants to play, and if she does it's only for a few mins max. She hardly eats her breakfast and in the past 2 days hasn't touched her lunch either. I can't up her food to one meal a day as her tummy doesn't cope well with it doing 2 meals a day is the least we can do! I'm feeling useless at the minute ;( Phoned the vets and they are going to check her over tomorrow :-\
Re: Not too good Poor Harley Sorry I know nothing of doggy seasons, but hope she feels more like her normal bouncy self soon
Re: Not too good Poor little love, but it does sound like normal season behaviour Ternaya , you`re right to speak to your Vet though , Millie ate like a sparrow when she was in season and was lethargic too , hoping she is feeling better soon x
Re: Not too good You must be so worried Ternaya, poor little Harley how miserable for her. I hope the trip to the vet will help you both. Lots of hugs to you both x
Re: Not too good Ah poor Harley, your mums doing the right thing taking you to see vet. Keep us updated.
Re: Not too good Thank you everyone it's so nice to have you all to reassure me and sympathise She has eaten most of her tea tonight which is fab hubby commented earlier that he thinks she has lost weight which I think she has. In was expecting her to put in on during her season due to limited walks, but it has been the opposite probably because she's hardly eating Will let you know how we get on at the vets in the morning x
Re: Not too good Hi Ternaya, some bitches can have a real change in character during their season. Hopefully that is all this is. But you are right to check with the vet. Hope she is ok
Re: Not too good Ah I'm sorry she seems so off,I know you will be worried about her,it seems from other comments it can be normal but that doesn't stop you being anxious about her,the vet will put your mind at rest x
Re: Not too good Been to the vets. They checked her over and think it is all connected to her season. They said it is uncommon for dogs to bleed for more than 10days so heavily, but can occasionally last up to 3 weeks The vets are going to keep in touch this week to see how she is and if she is still bleeding next week they will examine her again and discuss what we can do. I'm glad that's all it is, but still hate seeing Harley so down ;( Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts x
Re: Not too good Glad that you're getting good care from your vets I'm sure she'll be back to normal in time. It's never nice to see them not feeling right, is it.
Re: Not too good Poor little thing.. do hope she is feeling better soon. Are you having her spayed after this season?
Re: Not too good Your vets sound really kind Ternaya,I wondered the same as Karen ,I guess that's come up in discussion at your consultation.Take comfort in you are doing the best you absolutely can to get her through this uncomfortable time and normal Harley will resume soon x
