Hi guys are nuts/nutshells safe for dogs? Only my little boy cracks nuts all the time and I try and pick up the bits but I never to seem to find them all. Bob is always snuffling around and finding bits to eat... I just hope that they are not doing him any harm?!

    Re: Nuts

As far as I know, the only nuts that are poisonous to dogs are macadamia nuts , others are fine but not in quantity , just the odd few . I would be careful re the shells , they can be very indigestible and might upset tums :)

    Re: Nuts

Inca stole a couple of cashew nuts a fortnight ago and did the lovely labrador regurgitation trick. No other ill effects but will try and prevent her eating any more nuts.
