my jasper is going in to be neutered this morning, i hope it all goes well for him, it is going to be a long day, this will be the longest i have been apart from him
Re: off to the vets He`ll be fine Lynne , just you who will feel it most, he will soon be back home , a bit wobbly, maybe a bit confused but by tomorrow he will be bouncing back, good luck Jasper
Re: off to the vets Awww good luck! He'll be fine. It's a relatively simple op but I know you will worry about him. Look forward to a peaceful evening as he'll be wanting to sleep it off tonight!
Re: off to the vets Morning Lynne, Jasper will be fine and back with you before you know it so please try not to worry. Give him big hugs from us and some for you too xx
Re: off to the vets Now make sure you spoil that boy when you get him home I'm sure you will. Hope it all goes very smoothly.
Re: off to the vets Good luck jasper. It will be a very long day for you Lynne. My old lab was neutered when he was 9 . He was fine back to normal by the next day and considering he'd had his 'bits' for 9 years didn't seem to miss them. Try not to worry and take care.
Re: off to the vets Try not to worry if this evening he whines a bit and is restless, this will pass in a couple of hours. I found my Lab was very hungry, I gave him a small meal, he was still upset, so later I gave him another small meal and he settled. Next day he was absolutely fine.
Re: off to the vets Good luck Jasper. He'll soon bounce back love him. Meg was hungry after she was spayed even though vet said she wouldn't want to eat and I gave her chicken and she wolfed it down. Back to normal next day.
Re: off to the vets Thinking of Jasper. How is it going? Has he gone in yet. Milly is still sleeping it off but doing well.
Re: off to the vets just picked him up, he is sleeping, he looks very pitiful they have given me 3 tins of recovery food, he is not interested in food at the moment,he as got to go back in 3 days i hope milly is back to her normal self soon,
Re: off to the vets Glad jaspers is home safe and sound Lynne. He will feel more himself when he wakes up and he's slept it off.
Re: off to the vets He will be ok, Lynne, don't worry The anaesthetic can make them feel woozy and disoriented but it wears off. He will be back to normal in a couple of days, or sooner. If you can act cheerful, even if you don't feel like it, that will help him to feel normal too
