Might have to go to the vet on Monday and the preferred vet is away, grr.
Chepi had a mad run around with another dog yesterday and later on at home limped a couple of times on her front leg. This morning she seemed fine, we had a half hour walk instead of an hour and she still seemed fine. So we had an hour this afternoon and her front leg looks like she is favouring it, particularly her paw, she's carefully placing it on the ground. Can't see any injuries or grass seed heads stuck in there. So my plan is no walks tomorrow and see what happens Monday. She has to go to day care on Monday as I am just back to work after my broken ankle. :( Will the worry ever end? Maybe I am just too - I don't know what the word is but I'm too something! She could even have broken a little bone, who knows.

Keep a close eye on her and rest as you've already decided for tomorrow. I would ask the day care to keep a close eye on her as well. If she is still limping tomorrow I would visit the vet, better to check that it's nothing.

Best of luck with it, hope it's nothing that won't heal up quickly - just a pull or a sprain or paw pad injury perhaps. Can your daycare people restrict her exercise?

Yes, my day care people are pretty good. They have a big room with lots of dog beds where dogs have a snooze (just like at children's play group) and supervise really well. I'll take her to the vet anyway, even if she isn't limping by then. They know us really well at the vets'. Damn!
She was just well enough to chase the cat

    How is Chepi today?
Its so good to have a day care that you can rely on and trust to do their best in keeping your dog safe and well

Hi Naya, she seems reasonable ok. I think it's still a little sore but a bit better than yesterday. I will just monitor her today and call the vet for a chat tomorrow. She is putting weight on it and walking without a limp and even running into the garden without a limp but she is just careful with it if she decides to step around something. She's had a day of things to chew! Empty plastic bottles, cardboard boxes and is now having a whimzee hedgehog. Is it daft of me to think that she understands when I point to my recovering ankle then point to hers? :D Thanks for asking Naya!

Oh dear, fingers crossed! I know it's hard not to worry...but try not to! Hopefully nothing serious that a little rest won't cure.

No sign of a limp today. Phoned day care at lunch time and they had been keeping an eye out and didn't see anything. So I will just continue to monitor her carefully and when we go for a routine vet visit I will just ask him to double check. I am laying off ball throwing, which I did a lot of over the last 6 weeks with having a broken ankle and she's still light enough for me to give her a lift into the boot of the car. ('trunk' for the over-the-ponders)

Sounds like she just bumped herself and pulled something when she was playing the other day...glad it doesn't seem to be lingering and she's back to normal x

Glad Chepi doesn't seem to have done any lasting damage . Good that your day care is observant
