    Hello everyone,

i have female lab 4 months old. I was feeding my princess canin royal breed for puppies and now i want to change her dry food and go for orijen, cause i've heard the best. However, i dont know what to choose, puppy or large puppy? Whats the different between those two?

thanks and sorry if this question is being answered.

The large breed formula is supposed to reduce stress on the growing joints and bones.

Holly is on Orijen large breed puppy food and it's been very good for her, I would like to raw feed but my OH is total vegetarian and can't cope with raw meat!!

I think a large breed food is recommended for labs.
I'm no expert but it's to do with growth or speed of growth and the large breed foods give slower growth which helps reduce (I believe) bone and joint problems like hip dysplasia.

Yes as everyone has already suggested, it's all about skeletal growth in large breed puppies. The difference in the ingredients is very subtle but important and it's to do with the ratio of calcium to phosphorus. The correct balance is needed to produce normal and not accelerated bone development in fast-growing large breed puppies.
