How do you all deal with the yellow patches of grass killed off by your dog's pee? Katie has killed the lawn in a few places and I really hate the way it looks. I tried those rocks in her water, but they don't seem to have helped at all. Mostly she just likes to take them out of the bowl, bring them into the family room, and attempt to chew them. Obviously, I do not have time to go spray down the lawn right after she pees every single time, so that's not an option. Does anything else work? Or should I just accept that our grass is going to look bad?

I accepted for 40 years! Grass is still growing :) I now have boys and they won't go in the garden!

    Our moss is quite resilient.
What is a lawn exactly? :D

Heehee. Our current two are destroying the lawn, previous bitch did nothing. I think it is a lot worse since we started using one of these lawn maintenance companies as now we only have grass instead of weeds and moss - the weeds and moss weren't killed by the wee so the whole place looked greener with fewer yellow patches. My new motto - "if it's green, mow it" - and don't worry about the moss!

Learn to love the brown patches. Honestly, I'm not being facetious.

My mum uses dog rocks. You put them in your dogs water bowl and it reduces the nitrate in their wee and stops the brown patches. Seems to work a treat for her. Lola prefers to pee on the paving. I think it is cause she knows I'll get the hose pipe out to clean it lol
