Since Harls was a little puppy she will hold but not mouth or bite her own paws or legs. It has decreased now that she is older but the other night she was cuddling with DH and she was trying to lick him in the face - he discourages it because he doesn't like it. We ask her to 'leave it' and distract her. This time we asked her to 'leave it' and then she held her leg in her mouth for ages. She doesn't chew or itch at her leg or paw. She just holds it. Is this obsessive behaviour?
Obi sucks on his Teddy's nose too, and his Lambies' faces. Just a comforting thing I think. Nothing to worry about in my view Very cute though!!
This is so cute! I guess it's just like how toddlers suck their thumb when going to sleep cutey little furbaby
Oh my! Very adorable. Almost like a dummy? My Bella, when she catches it, sucks her tail! And also nibbles her own paws as you can see in my profile pic. I think it is very normal. Having raised other kinds of dogs (foxterriers and staffies) I can honestly say that having a lab has totally shifted the goal posts as to what is "normal" dog behaviour
