    Peanut butter & banana dog biscuits Recipe
    [h=4]Ingredients[/h] 1 ripe banana, peeled
    1 cup flour
    2/3 cup rolled oats
    1/2 cup dried or finely chopped fresh parsley
    3 tablespoons peanut butter (crunchy or smooth!)
    1 egg, beaten
    [h=4]Method[/h] Preheat oven to 150Ž / 300‹F (reduce temperature by 10Ž if using a fan oven) , then, using a fork, mash the banana in a large bowl. Add the flour, oats, parsley, peanut butter and beaten egg and mix together thoroughly, then set to one side for a few minutes.
    Line a baking tray with a sheet of grease-proof baking paper.
    Next, scoop the mixture with a tablespoon and roll each scoop into a little ball with your hands. Place onto the baking tray, and press down gently to flatten slightly. Then make a paw print shape, by pressing an indentation at the bottom of the circle using your thumb, and 3 smaller indentations with your finger on top of the thumbprint. Repeat until all the mixture is gone, you should have about 16 biscuits.
    Bake for 40-45 minutes, until golden brown and firm to the touch. Then leave to cool.

    Note: These biscuits can be stored in an airtight container for up to 1 month.

    Are you sure these are dog biscuits Cath? Sound absolutely delicious and will have to try them although for my persona taste may leave out the parsley and the paw print

    I have just made some - I have relented and decided to give the dogs a christmas prezzie. missed the paw prints out as the oats were so chunky they didn't show up. And I only had a little parsley. They do smell ever so nice. I'll let them taste one later (and have a little nibble myself..).

    Now you're all making me feel guilty that I'm depriving Juno of home baked biscuits :p. Flour and rolled oats now on the shopping list for tomorrow. Think we might bake some when OH is in London on Tuesday or Wednesday :D can't have him complaining that I'm baking for Juno and not him :rolleyes:

    I've also got a queue of cats sitting by the oven telling me they're cat biscuits.

    Oh no, if that's the case I'll have to make a huge batch to cater for Juno and the cats, particularly Oscar who thinks he's a dog :rolleyes:
