    To be honest I think a lot of the 'before' photos were already pretty bad....

    I feel very sorry for some of today's pedigree dogs. It is a topic that has created huge divisions between dog breeders and the public and I don't really understand why. Some of the comparisons in the link were a little odd. The German Shepherd for example, didn't at all illustrate the extent to which these beautiful dogs have been damaged

    Very sad. Although, I'm not at all sure some of the "then" dogs look great. The angle of the bulldog's legs don't look right to me at all - in any of the pictures. And I can't say I think the "then" Basset Hound looks good for a day's work either - was it ever right to deliberately breed a dog this short at all?
