I have just noticed my nearly 7 month old lab has peeling paw pads. The new skin under where it’s peeling feels normal, not too soft. It doesn’t seem to be causing her discomfort and she didn’t mind me poking around them! Otherwise they look like healthy paws! I walk her on trails and paths, but not when the paths are too hot. Google says this may be an intolerance, I wondered if anybody had experience with this or if it was something I need to be concerned about. Will change her diet if necessary but I don’t want too if it’s something that happens occasionally anyway. Many thanks!
I don't have any advice but hope you find a solution soon. We put coconut oil on the pads of Luna's paws about once a week to help prevent them from cracking since the ground is so dry just now.
