    Hi everyone,

Can anyone recommend a site where i can submit a photo of a dog and have a portrait made? Im hoping to do this for my dad for christmas but theres so much choice i feel it should probably go on recommendation. Hoping for something reasonably priced and can do the framing myself so that isnt a must. Grateful for any suggestions :)

I used Stephanie Greaves for pencil drawings of W&S when they were 9 months.
I love how she sends updates as she goes:

Or, I know someone who had her dog painted (from a photo) by Julie Brunn. A very different style:

Both will have waiting lists, it may be too late for Christmas.

I am an artist and have a portrait website. I can send you the address if you send me a private message as I'm assuming it would be advertising otherwise. If forum rules allow though, I can list it here.

I can recommend Kay Prior www.pettpaintings.co.uk ( and yes its 2 t`s in pets ) . I have known Kay personally for many years , she has produced some lovely portraits of my dogs over the years, all from photos . Last week, out of the blue , she posted me a wonderful portrait of my dear Sam , taken from a photo on my FB page , it was a complete surprise and a lovely gesture . Her art work is truly beautiful .

Hey there! I'd recommend www.bossportraits.com . They provide a high-quality print, as well as a time-lapse video of the creation process. Very cool.

I made this woodcraft a few years ago, it serves as a pet memory plaque for Black, my first ever Labrador Retriever.
