My girl has now finished her 1st season, stopped bleeding about 5 days ago. She's now got swollen teats they don't seem to be going down and I'm wondering what the signs of a phantom pregnancy is and how long that would last for?
That's normal after a season. A phantom pregnancy usually occurs around 8-10 weeks after her season (ie when pups would have been born if she was mated). Progesterone levels are very similar after a season in pregnant and non pregnant bitches.
