Today on David's walk Charlie found a recently deceased Pheasant, it was still warm, Charlie picked it up headed towards David who called him in, Charlie dropped it at David's feet. Charlie has never been trained to do this :) If I'd trained for that I would have been delighted :D xx

Well done Charlie :D Sounds as if it was recently shot but not picked. Fascinating how the instinct is there in the dog and they do what comes naturally. I would think you are delighted.

I do find it fascinating that he just did it without any instructions at all, because David didn't see the pheasant. Charlie didn't damage the bird in any way at all just held it so gently :) x
