my sisters chocolate lab of 6 yrs has pimple type sores on paws between toes and seem to be painful, she has seen many vets and dermonology docs on this , have prescribed antibiotics but they always seem to come back, would anyone have had this problem and any advice would be appreciated
Hi Everett, I would be suspicious of an allergy - either to something they are eating or to something in the grass. Many breeds are sensitive to grass and pollen - and have itchy rashy feet during some seasons. It could even be an indoor cleaning solution or something of that sort - if the dog steps in/on it it could create a problem. But a food allergy/sensitivity can also show up in their feet between toes. I would definitely start down the allergy path and ask my vet for a dog-safe antihistamine instead of antibiotic. Heidi
