Some weeks ago there was a thread mentioning Marmite used......I ordered a small amount of it but dont remember what someone was using it on!
I know, I know....I'm losing my mind! It took so long to get here from the UK that I forgot! Also, Spring has FINALLY sprung in the USA my mind has turned to gardening! Can someone help me???? What do you use it on for your puppies? I did let Cooper try a little dab of it and he kept licking my finger so he really likes it!! Thank you.....

I put a smear inside a hollow bone for my two - only a thin smear as it's rather salty :)

Put it on your toast! ;D ;D ;D

It isn't something I would feed to a dog, it's absolutely packed with salt.

    Toast oh yes......*drool*
It is a bit salty for dogs though I am guessing a smear only isn'thugely worse than some crisps.

    Another Marmite fan here.

It is full of good things but it is very salty.

Vegemite is where the action is really at, people. ;)

    Still salty as hell though.

We're having a 'Marmite moment'! You either love it or hate it.

    I love it!

Mmmm, Marmite on toast with lashings of butter!!

    LOVE IT!

And definitely a thin smear on something for the dogs. It's very strong and very salty so you don't need a lot :)

I'm definitely in the "Love it" camp. I've never tried our two with it though - we had a lovely shaggy mongrel called Joe when I was growing up who absolutely HATED it...I'd slip him the crusts from my toast at breakfast, and the Marmite ones would be spat straight out, prompting a cry of "are you feeding that dog at the table?" Me?

Can't stand the stuff. OH likes nothing better than marmite toast and then a big kiss goodbye for work bleugh!!!!!

Occasionally the thinnest smear on a kong for the dogs but very infrequently. Kibble with a small spoon of peanut butter to hold it in is our stock short notice kong filler.

Perhaps we could have our own mini election today? If someone is clever enough to set it up.

Vote YES for Marmite or No against.

We are a divided household. I just LOVE it and my husband loathes it.

I give my kids a big jar of it in their Christmas Hamper every year.

Yvonne, bet you didn't think your question would provoke such controversy

Marmite is the work of the Devil and I would never subject any of my animals to it.
