Puzzle has got sore eyes again Her right one is much worse than her left. It keeps watering and is very red. It is irritating her as she keeps scratching it and rubbing it with her paw or on things. Looks like another vet trip for her.
Re: Poor girl Does puzzle have a pollen allergy as well annabelle ? The pollen levels have been very high recently. :-\
Re: Poor girl Not as far as we are aware but that is most likely the cause. No itching just very sore eyes.
Re: Poor girl Ah I hope you can get some medication that can give her some relief Best wishes Annabelle .... Have you completed your trip yet? If you have given us an update on your post when you can x

Re: Poor girl Molly had a yucky eye yesterday. I read on the Net that a chamomile tea bag steeped in boiling water and cooled was good. I used it to wipe her eye. I didn't squeeze it as I wanted it wet to irrigate her eye. I think it helped. I kept the resulting Chamomile tea and steeped Cotten wool pads in it and used them to bathe her eye. I think her problem was started by a grass seed in her eye. Hope you get it sorted out soon.
Re: Poor girl Just got back from the vets. Puzzle has an ulcer in her left eye which is why it is so sore and causing her distress. She has been sent home with painkillers, anti-biotics and anti-inflammatories and also the dreaded cone of shame. She has to go back in 5 days time for a re-check or sooner if she gets any worse. She currently looks like a one eyed green monster due to the dye in her eye showing the ulcer which covers almost half of her eye, poor thing.
Re: Poor girl Hope it clears up! How does it go? With the medication? Might surgery be required? Poor girl indeed!
Re: Poor girl Its just a wait and see at the moment. The worse thing that could happen will be that it gets infected and she could loose the eye then but thats why the vet gave her anti-biotic drops as a percaution. It should go on its own as long as it does not get disturbed by her rubbing and scratching it. The medication will help to speed up the healing process and relive the inflamation in and around the eye as it is very red and swollen and pain killers to relive her distress as it is very painful for her. The vet had to put anesthetic drops in her eye so she could get a look at it as she was rolling it right back and covering it with her 3rd eye lid
Re: Poor girl Poor puzzle. I hope the meds work quickly. Did the vet say how she might have got it or is it just one of those things ? :-\
Re: Poor girl
Poor puzzle. I hope the meds work quickly. Did the vet say how she might have got it or is it just one of those things ? :-\
the ulcer has formed from her rubbing and scratching at the eye. The itchiness has been caused by some sort of allergy causing her eyes to weep and become inflamed
