oh, my!!! Had Gonzo neutered 1 week ago- he is doing so very fine!! but how to keep a 7 mo.old lab from running, etc?? he wants so very badly to chase his ball!! since he can't, he is terrorizing our 13 pound terrier mix older dog.....walks don't help- he is just a bundle of pent-up energy!! what do y'all do??? :-\
Re: post surgical activity restriction!! Fun times aren't they ! Asked a very similar thing myself earlier for my 5 month old who's on rest for 5 days. It's not post op for us but a similar challenge. I got some very helpful posts about kongs, food puzzles and an activity diary of sorts to help get through the days. It's on the Hopalong holly thread - not quite sure how to link threads. Good luck with Gonzo, hopefully you'll be back to situation normal very soon.
Re: post surgical activity restriction!! I don't know how Vets keep a straight face when issuing the "Keep them quiet" instruction! They undergo what is quite major surgery (especially the girls) and next day it is. "Well that's done. Lets play".
