My doberman/Great Dane mix is showing all the signs of an intestinal blockage. He's a notorious trash eater and you know how it is - you do your best to keep everything up and away but sometimes they get into it anyway. I don't recall him getting into the trash recently, but he's got all the signs. Maybe he ate a toy; I don't know. It's 8:30am here in Michigan and we can't see the vet till 10:40. I'm trying not to panic. Your good thoughts are appreciated.
Re: Prayers needed - possible blockage I do hope everything is ok. My two like to eat all sorts of things aswell many times I have panicked. My fingers are crossed Jen

Re: Prayers needed - possible blockage Thank you all! Bruno just has a little tummy bug. The vet called it "garbage-itis" from eating something that disagreed with him. No blockage! I also worry about bloat because he is so deep chested, but it wasn't that either, thankfully. He was just so unusual - vomiting and holding his body in a strange posture, with his front legs splayed and his head dipped low. This afternoon he's right as rain, but the vet gave us a shot for the vomiting and a pill to ease his system a bit. I think its just a case of over-protective dog-mom....
