Well you think it would be a good idea.

Picked up some shopping on the way home...and my gaze alighted upon the range of Primula spreads in a tube, remembering that someone had mentioned them on the forum, and on a mission to make myself INTERESTING to Benson grabbed a tube of cheese and ham.

Got home, straight away thought I would squeeze some for the dogs to see how easy it was. Casper thought he had died and gone to heaven, Benson however thought it was the work of the devil! He shied away, gave me his paw in abject misery, even with a tantalising blob on the end he would not look at the tube.

OK I thought....plan B...stick it on the floor and maybe Benson will realise the tube is his special friend.

No...but Casper did...(how stupid was I??) Launched himself at the tube, grabbed it...and a jet of cheese spread heads towards Benson...who in horror slides to the ground.. ::) :(

After comforting Benson (yes I read that article.. :) )I have decided that life is too short to desensitise a chocolate labrador to a tube of cheese spread and will simply use it myself...

I am just having one of those days...just given myself, the cat, and Casper a huge static shock..I squealed in surprise, now Casper is having some comfort. Maybe I will let him finish the tube whilst I go back to bed.... ::)

I'm amazed. You've managed to find something that Benson won't eat. Is he alright?

Actually, that was my thought, so I took him out on a walk, leaving Casper home alone. I failed to close the baby gate between the hallway, front room and kitchen, so he worked out that Benson was out.... :( Casper hates being separated from Benson, but during the day Benson lives in the kitchen area, mainly because we quite like our leather sofas.

Anyway, didn't think the day could get much worse. It did. Get a phone call from our neighbours, who had spotted Casper disappearing over the fields. He had managed to open the back door, and legged it...had a big poo by the compost heap and then headed off through the woods. Our neighbours are fantastic, and managed to get Casper back, so I drove up our driveway with 2 dogs, oh and picked up Remy on the way (our cat) who had followed Casper over the fields. I am exhausted...

Spilled my coffee reading this one. Poor old Benson! Pongo says he'll come and defend him from wicked tubes of cheese any time he needs reinforcements.

Well the saga continues....and the fridge has deceived him..

Fridge means food...everything in the fridge is GOOD...

Primula tube in fridge...happy waggy Benson...sucks at the tube...then mid suck it dawns on him that something isn't quite right...and he backs off ....very...very slowly....
