We like to take Harvey out and about with us whenever possible to continue his socialisation. Yesterday afternoon we had a trip to Cheltenham to do some shopping. Most shops don't permit dogs to enter their premises so I usually wait outside while OH pops in to do whatever shopping is needed.

Yesterday, I was sat at a bus-stop with Harvey while OH was in a shop (not planning to go anywhere, just making use of the seat!). A chap came up to us with a big smile on his face and asked if he could pet Harvey. I said yes and as he petted Harv he said "Do you realise that you are doing a public service? Your dog is so happy that once you look at him you can't help but smile and feel happy yourself. Thank you." People say the nicest things sometimes don't they? ;D

Aw, what a lovely thing for him to say!

It's true, though, how many people's days are improved just a tiny bit by seeing a gorgeous puppy with a happy, waggy tail? :)

Labs certainly are happy dogs and it is infectious. What a lovely man to give you such a compliment and how good that Harvey made him happy ;D
