    A great article :)

I will link to it for anyone considering dogs + work.

We worked full time when we had our Cavaliers, but my parents and MIL took it in turns to spend the afternoon at our house. With the added benefit that they picked the kids up, made our evening meal and did the washing and ironing! Bless them - I miss them all so much :'(

It was the reason we didn't get a lab 'till OH retired, as the grannies could only manage little dogs!

Really good article..and you can do it...but it needs so much planning and sacrifice. We waited 10 years, and both work full-time, but we make it work and Benson is the centre of our world. Equally, I see people who do not work, and have dogs who have not the same exercise, stimulation/training or actual company during the day that Benson has.

It did help that for the first 3 months I was at home, so we got into a good routine, then when I went back to work, it was gradual enabling Benson to slowly get used to being on his own, but never for more than 3 hours, we have the help of a fab dog walker and brilliant neighbours who are happy to let him out, take him round to theirs and their children just love playing with him!
