    Good morning

Countdown to Friday when Phoebe comes home - yipee!!

Decided to go with a puppia harness after reading lots as starting point, can anyone recommend where to get them from and what size, was thinking a medium for the beginning and then get a large for I would imagine not too long after?

    Many thanks

I think they expand quite a lot.....I know shadow and willow wore theirs for ages.
I will let someone who has actually used them to advise you though:)

I brought a small which lasted Harley about 4 months, but she was tiny.

I bought this one for bramble when she was 11 weeks old. They do have odd sizing though! The large fitted perfectly until she went onto a collar, I think at around 6 months old.

When she was 8 weeks old, she managed around the house and garden in a cheap, mesh pets at home harness, which was £10 or thereabouts, we just used it until she was 11 weeks old then switched to the puppia harness.

It might also be worth buying a very light, soft lead to go with your harness :)

Hehe, well I didn't include the pictures of Benson and Casper in their different ones again! :D

And I did say they were in size M (actually, twice, reading back. I'm nothing if not thorough) ;)

I think it's best to wait and measure the pup! They vary such a lot. I ended up returning lots of stuff I bought in advance for Betsy - I got the sizes completely wrong.

Hehe! Yes the ruffwear harness they both have and perfect fit for Casper are medium :)

I agree with JulieT best wait for the pup, they you will have an idea where they are on the size scale for a lab pup. As you can see from the thread " How much does my puppy weigh" there is a huge variance between our pups. :)

Dug out this photo.. Bramble @11 weeks old in her puppia harness in Large. She was a biggish pup, and now looking at the photo, I do remember it being a tiny bit on the large size. :)

Actually, scrap that. Doubling the number of puppies doesn't mean you have double the trouble. You get way more than that ;)

Both Betsy and Charlie were in Puppia harnesses. I went off these harnesses a bit using them this time with Betsy. I don't know of anything better, but I disliked the ring at the back being on the front of the back section. I thought it created a bit of a 'pinching' motion when the puppy went to run at something.
