hi, I just joined and don't know if I'm asking in the right spot. Our puppy is coming home next Friday and we are reading a lot about the raw diet. I feel like I can do it all from scratch except: I'm interested where people get things like green tripe and spleen from. Also how do people grind their bones? My butchers don't offer this unfortunately. And I understand puppies should not get bones for consumption (aside from recreational bones) until 4 months of age?

Where in the world are you? Here in the UK there are excellent raw food shops where you can get things like green tripe and offal as well as prepared raw food. There are also online companies that deliver. You can get green tripe from abbatoirs if you want to do it all from scratch but it's stinky stuff so I prefer to buy it frozen and minced. I get about half my dog's diet for free from butchers and friends who hunt, the other half from shops or online.
