Hi guys so it's puppy kong stuffing time, i was thinking is worth putting peanut butter on the end of the kong with the kibble inside and then freezing it. Or am i risking a puppy explosion of poo but introducing him to peanut butter at this point?
Re: Puppy Kong Peanut butter is quite oily so it might cause a reaction but that wouldn't stop me giving it a try with a small quantity to start. Another option would be some raw mince or mashed vegetable - those things are probably a bit 'safer' from a poo explosion perspective A bit of honey might also be worth a try. There are some expert Kong stuffers on here so I'm sure you'll get lots of ideas. I regard myself as a mere amateur!
Re: Puppy Kong i like the idea of the honey actually, i might try one with peanut butter and another with honey and see what happens
Re: Puppy Kong Harley loves her kongs: banana, kibble soaked in water, mashed veg, wet food mixed with natural yoghurt, peanut butter (on end), chicken, rice etc etc. freezing them also makes them last longer
Re: Puppy Kong Natural yoghurt, kibble, honey, banana, peanut butter (no more than a teaspoon) are my staples. And freeze them If you are unsure I think soaking some kibble in warm water for 5 mins is a good safe option. Then maybe add a little yoghurt, or a bit of veggies or fruit to try.
Re: Puppy Kong Hi Chris, There are various 'recipes' online for stuffing kongs. Here is just one website http://www.kongstuffing.com
