So last night, our 7 month old choocie lab pretty much ate a whole tennis ball......within about 2 minutes!!! Couldnt believe it! It was one of those cheapo colourful ones that he had for Christmas and we decided to give it to him to play with, not eat it, turned our backs and within minutes there was little left of it! 1 hour later the poor little fella started to wretch and luckily we managed to get him out into the gadren where he was sick, a lot and then quite quickly began to eat his own sick! YUCK! He has done this before so no suprise there. he was then really sleepy afterwards and of course I was worried all night. He seemed fine this morning though his normal chirpy self. I certainly wont be giving him a tennis ball again!!! I take it its normal (ish) for dogs 9or is it just greedy labs) to eat their own vomit???????

    Goofy boy!

Keep an eye on him, if he keeps getting sick he may have a piece of the ball stuck in his GI tract somewhere. They sure can be a handful sometimes!

I think most dogs try and eat their own sick ::) Harley does sometimes, but not all the time now :)

    Hope he is ok? X
