Hi. Have a question about a pup before one gets the complete shots at 16weeks(?). So how does one socialize between 8 to 16? I mean other than sounds from home and YouTube ? There seems to be much rules for safety among others - no smooching with other dogs, no dog park, no smelling here and there etc. I’m thinking of bringing him to places in a wagon. What do y’all think? Thanks a bunch!
Hi, 16 weeks seems late. It’s about 12 weeks here in the U.K. it’s a careful balance of missing that important socialisation window and risks of getting ill. I took Meg all over the place, mostly lots of car journeys and places I could carry her. I also took her to friends gardens who had immunised, nice dogs. My vet encouraged this approach, but we have fairly low levels of things like parvo around here.
