Hi all! We are looking to adopt a 6 yo choc lab from Craigslist. I'm attaching pictures of her. I know she is overweight, but I was wondering what you thought she might weigh and how much weight she might need to lose. We have a 60lb size limit for a dog here where we live. I know it is just a picture and it is very difficult to tell by that. And we need to see her in person (we're supposed to meet her Wednesday), but I thought I would ask anyway. Any thoughts? Re: Question about a pup we're interested in adopting.... Oh dear, yes she does look very overweight poor girl , I would have thought she was over 60lbs now , depends on her height of course . As she is relatively young , she would lose weight nicely with exercise and cutting treats , she does look a lovely girl , good luck .

[/quote] Well you know the gist of the replies.....she looks absolutely lovely and is clearly in need of some love (and a diet), she could well make your 60lbs limit. I think the only one that was really specific was Rachael - she said Obi was 22 inches tall at the shoulder and 27 kgs if I remember rightly so if you can find her height out that would help you work out what her weight should be. Re: Question about a pup we're interested in adopting.... Heavens, hasn't she changed from aged 2! Looking at that photo, I think she would easily go down to 60lbs or lower. I do hope you like her when you meet her, she does look a lovely dog.
