Hi anybody out there know of anyone how would re-home my 1 year old lab. Due to work I have not enough time to spend with her. She is KC registered upto date with all vaccinations.

I'm sorry you don't have enough time for your dog any longer.

To ensure your lab goes to a genuine home I would contact someone like the Blue Cross so that her future home is properly vetted for suitability. Dogs for rehoming can go to awful places and get used for horrors like dog fighting if just advertised through free-ad type advertising.

I would suggest you google Labrador Rescue to find a network close to wherever you are geographically. I know this will have been a difficult decision for you, and having taken it, you would probably be keen for things to move quickly, but if you can keep her with you until they find and approve a new home for her, I think that is preferable to her going into a dogs' home - less stressful for her.

Some of the other users do also have links to rescue organisations - they might have some better advice for you.

How sad, but yes, if you tell us where you are, we can help to point you in the right direction of a good rehoming centre . I used to work for the Blue Cross , they run a Home Direct scheme, where the dog doesnt have to go into kennels , they come to see you and assess the dog and then set about finding the very best home , they bring prospective new owners to see the dog at home, its an excellent scheme and very kind to all .

Hopefully things will work out for you.
There are quite a few of us on the forum that have to work and leave our dogs alone at home (apparently contentedly) so if you need any help or advise on this please ask.
We are not all stay at home mums and dads spending 24/7 training our labs. (Much as we may want)

Me too - working and love my dog. It can be done (although I get to work at home a lot sometimes, which is a big help, other times not so much) - I manage and my dog does just fine.

    Best of luck!

Same here. I work 29 hours a week, but work locally and can occasionally take Harley with me :D

I hope all goes well, I'm sure you will find a way to manage :)

Hmm.....I think dogs chew if they are anxious......or bored?
What kind of routine do you have?
