This makes me think of Roz, though If I am right from a previous comment, won't be on her menu at home :D

This is a brilliant recipe. Universally loved in my household.
    The Hairy Dieters' Chicken Jalfrezi
I use half the recommended green chillis (de-seeded) and it is still pretty hot (although I do buy fresh then freeze them, so not sure if this affects the heat)

I have both the Hairy Dieters books and can highly recommend them. Never had a failure yet.

Am not an enthusiastic cook but that looks brill, thankyou .... always after new ways to cook the pheasants we inevitably have so many of in shooting season and the ever-present rabbit supply. [IMG]

Thanks Jacqui , for reminding me to look in their recipe book , I bought it last month, put it in the kitchen with all my dozens of cook books and then forgot all about it ;)

In a truly bizarre coincidence I made this for the mob tonight for the first time and everyone loved it. Had the full quota of chillies in though....

I maybe made this up, but perhaps thought you favoured plain fare of the meat and two veg variety - or perhaps your OH did, along with his *no duvets I'm a traditional blanket guy* impression.
Maybe I am way off the mark there

Wow, that IS a bit freaky. You are either swilling loads of milk and yoghurt, freezing chilli's boosts their potency, or we are just wimps ;D

Your kinda right in that we eat as much local produce and game as we can source. Himself lived a decade in Brittany before we re-found each other so has, errr, more continental tastes than me. (olives = yukk!)

I say refound as we fell madly for each other almost 30 years ago but were each with a partner. Day one of the year 2000 saw him turn up (single, as I was) at my door and we've been inseperable since ;D

    :* :* :*

I hate olives too. And tomatoes. That's about it though. Oh, apart from fish too, I can't do fish (though I try). And lamb - too fatty.

Aaw shucks - you're making me blush.

It's just proof, to us, that sometimes things are meant to be. Each of us has had several partners and children but none could match us as we do. (Am silently relieved I didn't have to bring up his 4 boys alongside my 2 girls = phew!)
