So so excited. Our walk today started off really well. Cupar ignored the cows in the next field. We got to the horse field and one big horse had it's head over the fence. My boy looked at it then at me got loads of treats and praise and walked on. I am so happy with that. On the road I had to move onto the grass verge to let 3 cars past( sometimes I think this wee backroad is busier than street in the middle of a city.) while we stood to let them past , there was a roaring noise( sorry no good at descriptive writing) and when I looked up the Red Arrows were flying towards me. I was so excited as I've been to Air shows and have never seen them this low and directly above me before , I nearly waved at them. I felt like a child. They really were a sight , two formations of them. Cassie and Cupar were brilliant. They behaved as if nothing had happened. All those jets and the noise but my dogs were not phased. I have since checked. The Red Arrows were stopping to re fuel at Prestwick Airport hence the fly past , just for me.
Oh , aren't you the lucky one And what good dogs too , The Red Arrows often do shows down here, a fabulous sight
Low flying jets don't phase Juno either as we have a flyover at least once a week for training for the French. Sometimes they've come over so low I've actually seen the pilot! Really pleased for you that Cassie and Caspar were totally relaxed for your private airshow
I love air display teams. I've seen the Red Arrows perform countless times and they always amaze me. I saw the Breitling team at the Red Bull Air Race in Barcelona a few years back and the stuff they did was terrifying! My two haven't seen a low-flying demonstration team, but when we visited Liverpool last month, we had commercial planes coming in to land above our heads and so close we could see the pilots. They didn't really know what the fuss was about...
Most definitely. One rather excited owner and two dogs un fazed. After having a dog that would have been frantic at one jet , never mind 10 of them. To have 2 dogs that never noticed is a freeing experience for me. They left to go to Cumbria and arrived back all within the space of 50 minutes. Prestwick to Cumbria for a Display and back to Prestwick. I can't get my head around the times and distance. They leave Prestwick tomorrow at 9am.
We had such a happy time in Fowey last year at the regatta on red arrows day I LOVE them - Charlie helped the red arrows with their promotions, big time....and licked the ear of a pilot on the town quay. red arrows close by julieandcharlie julieandcharlie, on Flickr balloons by julieandcharlie julieandcharlie, on Flickr collecting by julieandcharlie julieandcharlie, on Flickr
