I have a friend who is wanting inspiration for regal names for a female dog. She's a bit bonkers, so would accept suggestions like "Princess Consuela Bananahammock" with delight. OK, that was my suggestion. She was delighted. But, sadly, it was a "no" :D

So, hit me with your fun regal-sounding names.

    Hehe !

I don't know about fun but my daughter named our horse Alissar Princess, she ( my daughter ) loves roses and scoured the list of rose names --- the full version is Alissar Princess of Phoenicia but we dropped the last bit :)

Well Monty's full name, and has been from the day after we chose him is Montgomery George Louis Mountbatten the third.
We assumed he had better lineage than us on account of him having a family tree  shame about those shocking hips and elbows

Queen Isabella the first. Born on my birthday, 22nd April, one of the Spanish monarchs. Also Isabella the second was born on my mothers birthday. I think the shortened version Bella, is a soft and pretty name :). Isabella is also my neighbours daughters name :)

We have an “Eloise” in our family (dog), which doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue easily. Quinn’s mom is Cinderella (maybe the opposite of regal haha).

What about Principessa, Marquesa...? This is hard...fine line between regal and pretentious

Buttercup? As in Princess Buttercup of The Princess Bride?

I don't actually LIKE that name, mind you, so reaching here.

I had a foster come in years ago that the family had named Princess. I hated the name, so changed it to Grace. (1) she was very graceful and kept leaping effortlessly between my sofas despite being a tiny 4 lb. pom and (2) "Princess Grace" - get it? :D

I like the idea of just going down a list of historical monarch's names and seeing what suits. Pick your country - England, France, even ancient Rome.

Lady Guinevere - it's a classic but also suitably pretentious ;)

Boudicca, used know a dog called queen Boudicca. She was a sweet little thing with no chariot driving pretentions. Never sacked and burned waitrose but did have to her harness special lined with super soft fleece for her delicate queenly skin. She was known as Bo-Bo
