Sam has two settings , comatose or flat out enthusiasm , very little in between ::)
I haven't been too well of late and so our walks have been shorter than I`d have liked , but yesterday, whilst bitterly cold, the sun was out so off we set , we walked and walked and more walked , except that Sam isn't very good at walking unless on lead . I guess I overdid things and now feel so bad , but Millie was fine and she is an elderly dog, just that Sam has to run ,he runs ahead then turns and runs back , over and over, up hill and down dale . Last night he was shattered , so its been very short walks today and on noticing an almost not visible slight limp ( could be my paranoia again ) on his back left leg, a dose of metacam . I will rest him up for a few days with just 20 mins walking and Vets if the limp is still there tomorrow , feeling guilty at allowing him to behave like a lunatic and run like the wind , more structured walks with training from now on :( :(

Don't feel guilty Kate I'm sure Sam had a wonderful time. Hopefully it's just a slight pulled muscle so he's feeling a bit stiff. Three day rule and I bet he's back to normal. If he'd done anything more than pulled a muscle I'm sure it would've shown up straight away.

Scott had a bit of a limp on his front leg a couple of days ago. No doubt caused by chasing his brother like a nutter on frozen ground. Couple of days of no running and he's right as rain.

    Keeping my fingers. :)

He might even be a touch footsore. Fingers crossed he's right as rain soon and I'm sure he would say it was worth it ;D

We've all been there Kate, don't feel bad. I'm sure a couple of days of rest will have him right back to normal.

Firstly, I hope you are feeling a little better Kate, and secondly I can't imagine Sam being a lunatic! Just short lead walks for a few days will hopefully sort it out :) Charlie sometimes limps on his front leg, but 2 - 3 days on lead and he's right as rain, I think they just over do it sometimes just like we can.

By the way the definition of a lunatic is "Charlie" ::) x

Get better soon lovely Sam xxx :*

Is it the same leg as his new claw ? If it is that could still be a bit tender. If not ignore me. ;)

Thanks for asking Angela , I`ve rested him up with short walks so just about to head off out for a longer one to see how he does . Trouble with Sam is that he`s like a tank , he doesn't go round obstacles , he goes through them ;)

Well hopefully the worst he'll do is make it a bit sore. Enjoy your walk! x
