Hi, I have a 20 month old yellow lab that likes to play and grab rocks rather than toys. Wondering if this is common or has happened to anyone else. She likes to dig them out of the ground. Thank you

We have a 16 month old yellow lab (14 when we got him). Our garden has an area which has thin slates (stone type stuff) all over it as plant bedding on top of a membrane. Cody loves them. He rattles them in his teeth, used to do zoomies with them in his mouth when he knew we were trying to get it out.

We have now fenced off this particular area and cleared our whole garden of stuff. Then he started on the patio grout stuff which has deteriorated over time and was loose. The result was us jet washing it all out (it wasn't doing much anyway) and realising we had yellow and red paving slabs - not brown ones!!!

Any way - he is getting better with the "leave" command but only for treats. Also he will try and actively find stuff in the garden - i.e. digging under the fence to get to the remaining slates

I feel your pain. - Cody swallowed one once - about an inch of so in length and promptly vomited it straight back up again.

Hey Stacie did you resolve this?

Ours seems to have gone backwards. swallowed a rock today, hasn't brought it back up and am now really worried he wont pass it, if what my OH says is true and it is as large as he has implied.
