Bob ran into a tree today while chasing a spaniel... it was a really loud thud. The noise really shook me up. His nose bled a tiny bit then stopped. He found some water while we were out after and had a good drink. Then played some more with another dog a bit later on.

He seems OK in himself to be honest.

Question: should we be worried about any delayed concussion or anything like with humans? I'm SURE he must have a headache..

    Poor boy!

They do have very hard heads and make some awful noises when they crash. If you're at all worried I would at least phone the vet for guidance. Hopefully it's nothing :)

Hi everyone, well I called the emergency vet just for reassurance and she said from what I've described Bob seems to be OK but to keep an eye on him. She asked if his pupils were different sizes or if I could feel any lumps and bumps on his head. She said the main issue with running into trees etc is breaking the neck. She said any changes in behaviour or anything different to normal then take him in.

I think Bob will be OK. he's fine and has had none of the symptoms she mentioned. So think he got away with it!

Ouch! How is Bob today, hope he's OK? Charlie does this quite a bit, I was throwing a ball for him the other day, he was watching me, moving backwards, turned round to run out and ran straight into a shed that is made of brick but that didn't stop him   ::) x
