Hello everyone... Bob was sick a couple of times this morning and has quite runny poo. He's teething at the moment so I'm guessing that is part of the issue?

Anyway this all happened this morning.. I skipped his lunch and have been trying to keep him hydrated as much as possible. My question is shall I skip dinner as well? Or give him a small bowl of boiled rice & chicken?

    Thank you!
    Lou x

Omg Lou. Rolo is exactly the same. He brought his lunch up, not as kibble tho as digested food (looled like poop!) went outside and had a couple of episodes of liquid poo he then slept for a few hours. Got up about 30 mins ago full of energy but is now flaked out in his bed. I called the vets who advised 3-4 days of chicken and rice and monitor his poops. I'm giving him his dinner now see how he is.

Hope Bob soon feels better poor lamb. Never thought about it being his teething.

    Kris

I would give one scrambled egg with a scoop of pro-fibre, then try normal food tomorrow.

Manuka honey in water is good for keeping them hydrated.

    Get well soon Bob xx

Aw Kris I hope Rolo is feeling better soon! :)

Thanks Boogie - do I add a splash of milk, or just egg on it's own? I've got some pro-fibre here as well which I can add to it.

    Thank you both xx

To be honest normally Bob is downstairs getting under my feet hassling me for dinner.. but he doesn't seem bothered at all today, so I won't feed him. If he starts hassling me later I might whip up a scrambled egg and some pro-fibre for him.. but only if he asks.... maybe skipping 2 meals and having a good nights' sleep will help....

Poor pup... it was such a shame because I was doing house viewings with my mother today and Bob was travelling round with us in the car. The idea being we'd take him out regularly for toilet, drink, potter etc... and he could have lunch when we ate etc. But he was so sick in the car I was forced to bring him home.

Hate it when they are sick :(

Just egg - no milk :)

(Milk is hard for dogs to digest even when they don't have a runny tummy)

On another post, same topic, I added that I give my girls a bit of probiotic powder to help things back to normal. The brand name is Eagle Pack Holistic.
