This afternoon , we intended to go to the beach at Seaton , a small seaside village not far from us . However, the beach was packed so I opted to walk the beautiful countryside park at the back of the beach which winds up the Seaton Valley . I plonked Paul at the café and set off , dogs were off lead and behaving so well , hum , talk about lulling into a false sense of security We rounded a bend in the path and immediately came upon a large family enjoying a picnic , with a barbeque , with sausages Sam is usually very obedient , the exception being when food is on offer , we have had those embarrassing moments before, but today , he blundered over , a true interloper , I was mortified . Millie isn't quite so greedy or pushy, so she got the gold star, but Sam, oh heavens Sam , he thought it was just great . Thankfully , the party saw the funny side , quite enjoying his clown like behaviour , the shame of it I spluttered my sincere apologies , but they assured me that he had enhanced their picnic, many photos were taken by them ( not me , I don't want reminding of it ) Just when you think you have it cracked eh ? x
Hee Hee - people on the floor with food? What self respecting Labrador wouldn't go to say "hi there"? Be rude not to, really....
I think you got away with that one! He must have been quite endearing! Probably will plant a seed in one of their minds to get a lovely Lab too.
